Help CCF connect Goa with its marine life

A little more about this project
Taking a leaf out of the successful MLOM model, CCF launched Marine Life of Goa in January 2024 with a similar goal here to connect Goans with their largely understudied intertidal region, and create a thriving tidepooling community.
This is an especially exciting and promising project, given Goa’s recent outburst of activity within its research and conservation spaces. Through MLOG, CCF aims to tap into this energy and create a platform that shines a light on the city’s intertidal life, building and openly publishing data on its biodiversity and habitat profiles.
CCF’s approach will heavily involve rousing curiosity in Goans, where they ask the How’s? and Why’s? related to intertidal ecology and find their own ways of answering them.
Project Activities
MLOG is mainly an outreach-focused project that will run activities to engage the community and build awareness about Goa’s intertidal life.
These include:
Hosting shore walks and mangrove walks
In-person meet ups and workshops and other field events
Engaging the community through social media channels
While CCF is mainly relying on donations and grants to kickstart this project in its entirety, your funds will help them employ experts to conduct shore walks at no charge to the public, introducing them to the life that exists on their coasts.
