Coastal Conservation Foundation (CCF) is seeking passionate and talented volunteers across projects.

 

Position 1: Copywriter

 

As a Copywriter, you will play a crucial role in creating engaging and informative content for CCF's online social channels and website, and helping raise awareness about the marine life in Mumbai and the importance of conserving coastal ecosystems.

Overview of the role:

  • Content Creation:

    • Develop compelling and creative written content for CCF's social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

    • Craft captivating blog posts and articles for the organisation's website, covering topics related to marine science, conservation efforts, marine species, and environmental issues

  • Social Media Management:

    • Collaborate with the social media team to plan and schedule content that aligns with the organisation's mission and goals

    • Monitor social media comments and engage with followers to foster meaningful conversations

  • Website Content Management:

    • Ensure website content is regularly updated with fresh and relevant materials to keep visitors informed and engaged

    • Work closely with the website team to optimize content for search engines and user experience

  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Attend bi-weekly virtual meetings with the team to brainstorm content ideas, discuss strategies, and provide progress updates

    • Collaborate with other volunteers and team members to maintain consistency in messaging across different platforms

Qualifications:

  • Adequate writing skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style

  • Passion for marine life, conservation, and environmental issues

  • Knowledge of marine science will be advantageous but not mandatory

Time Commitment:

  • The position requires a commitment of approximately 10-12 hours per week

  • This position allows you to work remotely from your preferred location

  • Bi-weekly meetings will be conducted virtually

Position 2: Event Organisation and Execution


As a Volunteer for Event Organisation and Execution at Coastal Conservation Foundation (CCF), you will play a assist CCF's team in planning, coordinating, and executing various events, contributing to the success of these events and CCF's mission to make a positive impact in our community.

 

Overview of the role:

 

  • Event Planning Support:

    • Collaborate with the event team to brainstorm ideas and plan event logistics

    • Assist in securing event venues, permits, and necessary equipment

    • Help with scheduling and coordinating event activities

 

  • Event Execution:

    • On event days, be present at the event venue to support the smooth execution of activities

    • Provide on-site assistance to attendees and event participants

    • Help with setting up event spaces and ensuring everything is organized and ready

  • Communication and Coordination:

    • Maintain effective communication with the event team to stay updated on tasks and responsibilities

    • Assist in coordinating with vendors, sponsors, and other stakeholders as needed

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated management and organizational skills to help streamline event processes

  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to take initiative and work independently

  • Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and event attendees

  • Knowledge of marine science would be advantageous, although not mandatory

 

Time Commitment:

  • Volunteers are expected to dedicate 5-6 hours a day for 7 days a month to assist with event organization and execution

  • Volunteers will join the team at the event venue, which may vary depending on the specific event
